photography final project for GEOG 189: visual geography

overview

On San Pablo is a photography project that captures the stretch of San Pablo Avenue, a major street in the East Bay from Oakland to Hercules. Created for GEOG 189: Visual Geography at UC Berkeley, the project comes from weekly field days spent walking, observing, and photographing different segments of the avenue. Students in the course must compile their own sequence to tell a story about the environment and human presence on this street.
Below is my work from the class (not shown in the submitted course sequence). The emphasis for my work was mainly communication through design, both through architecture and typography. I also enjoyed taking a lot of photos of Bay Area Doggos.
